How to handle Dry Ice?Updated 5 days ago
We choose to use dry ice because it has a temperature of -78.5C and is therefore the most efficient way of keeping your food completely frozen during transit. The dry ice is constantly evaporating, and may already be gone by the time you open your box, leaving just the recyclable paper casing. If there is still ice remaining in the pack when you receive your box, it is very important to follow the below instructions* as it is extremely cold to the touch and may cause burns if handled incorrectly:
Do not touch with bare hands
Keep away from children and pets
Move the ice in its recyclable paper casing to one side using a double folded tea towel or thick gloves.
Remove your products and store in the freezer.
Leave the ice pack in the delivery box in a well ventilated area until completely evaporated.
Recycle the empty packaging once the ice is all gone.
*Please note that Lune & Wild cannot accept any liability for harm, injury or damage caused due to improper handing of dry ice.
